Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd: A Wealth Creator

Bajaj Holdings & Investment Ltd (BHIL) is a reputed and diversified business group in India. It began as Bajaj Auto Ltd in 1945 and expanded into different sectors. BHIL is on the NSE since 1960 and is part of many key indices like Nifty 50, Nifty 100, Nifty 200 and Nifty 500.

BHIL mainly invests in some of the best companies in India. It owns 33.43% of Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL), the world’s third-largest motorcycle maker and India’s top exporter of two- and three-wheelers. It also holds 39.29% of Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BFS), a financial services leader that provides insurance, lending, asset management and wealth management solutions. Moreover, BHIL has 51% of Maharashtra Scooters Ltd (MSL), a joint venture with the Government of Maharashtra that produces scooters and auto parts.

BHIL is a successful investor and a responsible corporate citizen. It follows the vision and philosophy of its founder, Shri Jamnalal Bajaj, who believed that ‘society must profit from profit itself’.
