Short Info About Avanti Feeds

Avanti Feeds: Delivering Excellence in Shrimps and Feeds for a Thriving Aquaculture Sector

Everyone hears about farming on land, but have you ever heard about farming in water? The practice of farming aquatic animals & plants is known as aquaculture. Like any other animal farming, the feed used by the farmers is of utmost importance in deciding the final product’s quality. To grasp the opportunity in the shrimp feed market, Avanti Feeds Ltd was incorporated & it has been providing quality products to aquaculture farmers for over 3 decades.

January 1993: Avanti Feeds Ltd was incorporated.

May 1994: It was listed on the Indian stock market.

It works on a farm-to-fork model & has a vertically integrated infrastructure, thus providing an edge over other companies in the same business. Its business is divided into 4 categories: hatchery, farms, feed & frozen. It holds over 50% market share in domestic shrimp feed, contributing almost 75% to its overall revenue.

Various indices, such as the Nifty Total Market, S&P BSE Fast Moving Consumer Goods, etc., have it as their constituent. In FY23, it spent ₹ 4.48 Crores towards Corporate Social Responsibility, focusing on community development, disaster management, enhancing educational skills, and many more.

A direct relationship can be drawn between an increase in share price and the number of shrimp feed units. In whichever year a new feed unit is opened, the following year it has given multi-bagger returns, excluding 2001.
