Astral Ltd: The Rising Star of India’s Plumbing and Piping Industry
Many civilizations started near rivers as water is essential for nurturing life. Due to an increase in population and more opportunities in other places, it spread worldwide. Pipes solved this problem, and the companies involved in its manufacturing made it possible for the people to spread even further. Astral Ltd. has experience of over 2 decades in providing piping solutions.
March 1996: Astral Poly Technik Private Ltd. was incorporated.
September 2006: The name of the company was changed to Astral Poly Technik Limited.
February 2007: It was listed on the Indian stock market.
April 2021: The name of the company was changed to Astral Limited.
It started the business by manufacturing CPVC pipes by taking a license for technology from Lubrizol. Later it expanded its business in uPVC, HDPE, and PPR pipes through research and development. Its products are divided into three categories – Pipes, water tanks, adhesives & sealants. It manufactures products under different categories, such as plumbing pipes and fittings, sewerage drainage pipes and fittings, water tanks, insulation tubes, etc.
Various indices have it as its constituent, such as the Nifty 100, Nifty India Manufacturing Index, etc. Through its various CSR initiatives, it has made a great impact on women’s healthcare, environmental conservation, education, infrastructural projects, etc.
