The hospitality business was demerged, and the name of the company was changed to GVK Hotels & Resorts Ltd.

The name of the company was changed to TAJGVK Hotels & Resorts Ltd.

It started as a joint venture between Hyderabad based GVK group and Indian Hotels Company Ltd., backed by Tata Group. It has a total room base of 1300+ rooms spread over 7 world-class properties.
